This exquisite statue depicts Gampopa, the revered Tibetan Buddhist master and principal disciple of Milarepa, who unified the Kadampa and Mahamudra traditions to establish the Kagyu school. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Nepal, the statue is richly gilded in gold and seated in deep meditation atop a layered base.
Gampopa is shown in monastic robes with ornate gold detailing, his hands in the meditation mudra, holding a bumpa (vase) - a symbol of spiritual attainment and the transmission of blessings. His serene facial expression and high hat reflect his stature as a lineage holder and enlightened teacher.
