Handpainted Tibetan Cheppu Wooden Altar Box

This Handpainted Tibetan Cheppu Wooden Altar Box is handcrafted in Bhaktapur, Nepal, by the Prajapati community and then hand-painted by skilled Tamang artisans from the Kathmandu Valley. Each box takes up to two days to complete, featuring vibrant colors, traditional Buddhist motifs, and detailed hand-painted designs.

The front is decorated with a Tibetan Cheppu, a traditional protective face motif often seen in Himalayan architecture and religious art. The box can be used to store jewelry, keys, keepsakes, and other medium-sized valuables, or displayed as a decorative piece.

Combining traditional Newari woodworking with Tibetan-inspired artwork, this box is a practical and meaningful addition to the home or a unique gift.
