Green Malachite 108 Beads Prayer Mala with Counter
This is a very beautiful Malachite Beaded Prayer Mala with 108 beads of 6 mm. This mala has three coral beads counter along with two Taiwanese Counter attached to it. The Taiwanese counter can be used to count the recitations of mantras, prostrations or names of Buddha. It allows you to control your count so that you do not forget while in deep meditation or devotion.
The Sanskrit word "mala" means "garland." A mala is a string of beads used to count repetitions in Buddhist practices--prostrations, recitations of mantras, names of the Buddha. Sometimes it is simply a reminder to be aware. The traditional number of beads in a mala is 108. The beads themselves, made from variety of seeds, wood, and semiprecious stones, are worn around the neck or wrapped in coils around the wrist.
