This Oxidized Copper Aparmita Statue showcases traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, with an aged copper finish that brings out the details of the sculpture. Aparmita, also known as Amitayus, is revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the Buddha of Immeasurable Life. The statue is a meaningful addition to a Buddhist altar, meditation space, or collection of traditional Buddhist art.

Aparmita represents the Buddha aspect associated with infinite life and wisdom. Unlike the more commonly depicted Amitabha Buddha, who wears monastic robes, Aparmita is traditionally shown wearing a crown, jewelry, and ornamental garments. He is often seated in meditation, holding a long-life vase containing the symbolic nectar of immortality. This vase represents longevity, vitality, and the aspiration for a meaningful life.

Aparmita is one of the three long-life deities in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, alongside White Tara and Ushnishavijaya. Devotional practices dedicated to him are traditionally associated with longevity, the accumulation of merit, and overcoming obstacles to a long and meaningful life. His image also reminds practitioners to value the time they have, cultivate wisdom and compassion, and use their lives for the benefit of others.
