This statue is the result of two legendary artisan families working in harmony. The intricate copper form was cast by Subin Shakya and family, master metalworkers continuing a centuries-old tradition of lost-wax (Cire Perdue) bronze casting in Patan's historic workshops. Every curve of Ganesha's four arms, every fold of his ornate robes, and the delicate lotus throne beneath him were shaped by skilled hands with generations of expertise.
The breathtaking hand-painting was then carried out by the Rajmuni Shakya family, renowned artists whose brushwork brings the deity to life in rich coral reds, emerald greens, sky blues, and ivory whites. Turquoise and gemstone inlays sparkle across the crown, jewelry, and throne, while the face, crown, and sacred ornaments are finished in radiant partial gold plating - giving the statue a regal, luminous presence.

Depicted in his classic four-armed form, this Ganesha sits serenely in royal ease upon an ornate, fully painted lotus pedestal. Each hand carries sacred attributes - a lotus, a broken tusk, prayer beads, and a sacred weapon - representing his powers of wisdom, protection, creativity, and the removal of obstacles. The richly decorated crown, flowing garments, and jeweled adornments reflect the opulent iconographic tradition of the Newar artisans of the Kathmandu Valley.
