This is a master piece Gold Plated  Tibetan Green Tara Statue. This statue is made by the fourth generation artist who has invested a huge amount of talent and time making this intricately carved and skillfully made statue.

Green Tara is in the position of elegant repose in royal ease: her right foot resting on an extended lotus. Her left hand in the jhana mudra, the gesture of teaching, compliments her right hand which is elegantly arched in the varada mudra the gesture of giving. Her dress is amazingly carved with beautiful flowers. Two lotuses rise from each of her hands. Her body is youthful and sumptuous, representative of that delightful aspect of Tara which is wisdom, compassion and strength.

Green Tara is beautifully seated on a wonderfully hand carved copper frame. The frame is decorated with Chhepu, wheel of life, Tibetan flower and Tibetan symbols. Tara is known as the great liberator from eight kinds of danger or fears. The cultivation of Tara sadhana will eliminate all demoniac and karmic obstacles, eradicates disaster and lengthen one's life span.
