Wheel of Life Thangka Painting
This hand-painted Wheel of Life Thangka is created on primed cotton canvas using traditional mineral and vegetable pigments. The painting vividly illustrates the Buddhist concept of samsara, the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, and offers a powerful visual guide to understanding the causes of suffering and the way to liberation.
Each thangka takes between one month to over a year to complete, depending on the level of detail. The craftsmanship, symbolism, and sacred geometry in this artwork reflect deep spiritual insight and devotion.
Spiritual Significance:
The Wheel of Life, or Bhavachakra, is rich in symbolic meaning. At the center are the three poisons-ignorance, attachment, and aversion-fueling the cycle of existence. Surrounding them are the six realms of rebirth and the twelve links of dependent origination. The entire wheel is held in the grasp of Yama, the Lord of Death, signifying the impermanence of worldly life. In the top corner, the Buddha points the way to liberation, reminding us that freedom from suffering is possible.
This thangka is not only a profound teaching tool but also an inspiring meditation aid. It encourages reflection on one's actions, choices, and the path toward enlightenment.
Whether placed in a meditation space or used for study, this thangka serves as a timeless reminder of the Buddha's wisdom.
Every painting is carefully wrapped in handmade Lokta paper and packed inside a sturdy, non-bendable PVC pipe to ensure safe delivery.
