Meditation Rope Incense-Pack of Six Nepalese Handmade Incense

This is a traditional way of making incense in Nepal. A long braid of Nepalese lokta paper is filled with incense powder and twisted to give the final shape of this rope incense.

Meditation has been practiced since antiquity in numerous religious, traditions and beliefs. Meditation is done in order to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and increasing peace and well being. It helps to self regulate the body and mind, making one calmer and peaceful.

Burning incense is an important ritual in all major Buddhist traditions, but the purpose and symbolism of incense are slightly different for each tradition. In Buddhism, incense acts as an offering to Buddhas, or enlightened ones, as well as a symbol for various aspects of Buddhist belief and an aid to positive thoughts and actions.
