Gold Plated High Quality Shakyamuni Buddha Statue 5.5" H

This is a Gold Plated Shakyamuni Buddha statue handmade in Nepal. The statue has  fine floral carvings done on the body of the statue by our master artisans giving it a beautiful visual look.

Shakyamuni Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Lumbini, Nepal some 2600 Years ago and performed many Buddha activities for 45 years in this sub-continent for the benefit of all the sentient beings. And this statue coming from his birthplace makes this statue a special one.

Here, Shakyamuni Budhha is in Bhumisparsha Mudra where the left hand rests in the lap with the palm facing upward. The right hand rests palm down on the right knee with the fingers pointing toward the earth. When the Buddha attained enlightenment, he reportedly used this gesture to summon the earth to bear witness to his victory over the seductive forces of illusion.
