Brass Mahakala Wrathful Deity Wall Hanging

According to Hinduism, Mahakala is a manifestation of Shiva. Mahakala also appears as a protector deity known as a dharmapala in Vajrayana Buddhism, particularly most Tibetan traditions.
Mahakala is a protector of religious law. He is always depicted as an extremely fierce and terrifying deity. His purpose is to help in overcoming negative obstacles on the path to enlightenment. He appears evil, like a demon, but functions more like a guardian angel. Mahakala is depicted in a variety of different ways, sometimes with six arms, other times with two.
