Copper Oxidized Shakyamuni Buddha Statue Dragon Carving

This is a handmade Copper oxidized Shakyamuni Buddha statue from Nepal. Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is seated in Dhyana Asana or Meditative Pose, also called Padmasana. In this position, the legs are crossed, closely locked with the soles of both feet visible. Lord Buddha is wearing a detailed carved monastic robe incised with floral motifs. He is seated on a single lotus base also known as Padmasana. His left hand is in the earth touching gesture or bhumisparsha mudra, while his right hand holds a medicine bowl.


The main beauty of this statue is that the artist has given a great looks with his silver carving skills. The robe of the Buddha is inlaid with silver in a perfect manner. The dragon carving is done on both side of the statue with silver inlaid. The back part of the statue has Chhepu, dragon and wish fulfilling jewel with silver inlaid.
