This beautiful clay incense burner is in the shape of a hand offering a lotus pedestal. Beautifully handcrafted in Thimi, a city near Kathmandu, the potters made this in a devotional subject.

This beautiful Clay Incense Holder(also known as Incense Burner) holds the incense in a right manner to collect all the ash and remains after the incense has burnt. The hole ends within the incense burner and does not has an opening at the bottom which helps prevent the surface getting burnt upon which the burner is placed.

Burning incense is an important ritual in all major Buddhist traditions, but the purpose and symbolism of incense are slightly different for each tradition. In Buddhism, incense acts as an offering to Buddhas, or enlightened ones, as well as a symbol for various aspects of Buddhist belief and an aid to positive thoughts and actions.
