This is a hand held prayer wheel which has a cylindrical hollow body in which a paper roll full of mantras is placed and lid. This Prayer wheel is a Buddhist Ritual Item or a Buddhist Altar item and is associated with the Buddha Of Compassion. The resin Turquoise and Coral inlay work makes the prayer wheel more appealing.

This prayer wheel is engraved with Om Mani Padme Hum and Tibetan Eight Auspicious symbols throughout the prayer wheel and it is believed to bring good fortune, excellent merits to the ones reciting the mantra. To hold the prayer wheel properly, the wooden stick of 5" is attached to it.

The prayer wheel is affixed with a chain terminating in a metal weight allowing it to be spun by a slight rotation of the wrist. This prayer wheel is made by old generations Newari artist in the Patan area of Nepal. These prayer wheel are handmade and that is the reason they are unique and different from other machine made prayer wheel.
